FISHING DESTINATIONS:
TROUT CHASERS,
CALGARY / ALBERTA, CANADA
Join us at Trout Chasers on the magnificent Bow River in Canada where the opportunity to discover a legendary trout river is "wading" for you!
Trout Chasers River Company Ltd. is owned and operated by Dee & Sherri Chatani. Dee has been fly fishing on the Bow River since 1978 and guiding fly fishermen since 1988. He is an accomplished fly casting instructor and is FFF certified. Dee's intimate knowledge of the Bow's ever changing moods helps to ensure that each and every day spent on the river is a memorable one.
The Bow River offers over 50 miles of unsurpassed fly fishing for the hardest fighting, longest running, reel screaming Rainbows and Browns. The section of the Bow River between Calgary and the Carseland Weir supports one of the world's greatest trout fisheries. Anglers are treated to a river with both freestone and spring creek characteristics. There are long gliding flats, deep pools and plenty of riffles in between.
A few miles downstream of Carseland, the Bow is accessible by jet boat only as public access is restricted where the river flows through the SikSika Reserve. Trout Chasers guides this exceptional stretch of the Bow by floating downstream, well into the Reserve, then motoring back up at the end of the day. The lack of angling pressure on this section of river is one of many factors that contribute to creating arguably the best wild trout fishing in North America.
Dry fly fishing, the most sought after experience on the Bow, happens nearly every day. There is no comparison to the thrill of taking a big Bow River Trout on a dry fly. Wet fly fishing with streamers and nymphs provides the most consistent action over the course of a day. You won't soon forget the sight of a big predatory Brown chasing and eating your streamer!
Float trips include hearty homemade lunches and snacks, nonalcoholic beverages and an exceptional guide. All Trout Chasers trips are catered to your needs and ability. Your day can be as long or as short as you like.
