I was born and raised in Arkansas. When I graduated from high school I went on the road playing music for a living for 22 years. When I retired in 1995 from the music business I moved to Heber Springs, Ar. Soon after moving I met Jeff Hawthorne. Jeff was a full time fly fishing guide for the Ozark Angler. In his free time he started teaching me the art of fly fishing and tying flys. In 2000 I started guiding for the Ozark Angler and endorsed by the Orvis company.
In my years of guiding I have developed a client base that are more friends than clients. Whether I do an instructional trip with beginners or take the most advanced fly fishers by the first hour we are the best of friends. The Ozark Angler is for sure, without a doubt, the most professional outfitter and guide service on the Little Red, White and North Fork rivers in Arkansas. That's why I am still with them and will be for years to come.
