Trout Series
Fully machined, lightweight, ventilated rim control reels with all the features a fly-fisher wants. The TR/Series reels feature a unique pawl click drag system with two internally-adjusted enclosed hex nuts, thus not subject to line snagging or dirt.
The offset hex nuts give you a wide range of control of both incoming and outgoing click. Want more or less click above and beyond the hex adjustment? Tweak the incoming and outgoing drag by bending the piano wire beam spring to offer more or less resistance for the type of fish you're after.
All Reels are available in High Gloss Black Coral, Non-Reflective Guide Finish, Gold Anodized, Clear Anodized, Black Gold (Motherload Gold), Camo Coral (Artistic Anodized).

Big Game Series
Big Game model spools are positively locked to the main shaft and frame with a small knurled nut. The nut may be removed with a penny, dime or pocket screwdriver. Thanks to our newly-designed Square Tooth Drag Plate, all Big Game models reels are now user-convertable from right- to left-hand retrieve by following the enclosed instructions. Choose between Rosewood, Ebony, Zebra, and Walnut Handles.
All Reels are available in High Gloss Black Coral, Non-Reflective Guide Finish, Gold Anodized, Clear Anodized, Black Gold (Motherload Gold), Camo Coral (Artistic Anodized).

Super Series
There are distinct advantages to Abel Super Series Large Arbor reels. On a Large Arbor reel, the line lies in larger coils, thus preventing some kinking and twisting; and retrieve (pick-up) is faster since you gain more line with every turn of the handle.
But perhaps the most important reason is that Super Series spools are 100% interchangeable with spools of comparable-size standard Abel Big Game Reels. For example, with a Super 2 frame and Big Game Pt. 5 spare spool, you essentially have two distinctly different reels with different capacities and capabilities at a substantial savings.
And remember, while there are other Large Arbor reels on the market, none have the Abel drag system that gives you the ability to Stop-a-Sub.
The eight sizes of Large Arbor, fast retrieve reels within the Super Series are to standard fly reels as your old Chevy is to a new Corvette. Reels are ported or ventilated using a "rounded oblong" design that maintains total strength and rigidity in the metal while, at the same time, looking like a Stealth bomber, Rolex watch or Ferrari sports car. They are the lightest available. The weight reduction was accomplished by intense machining, with parts literally trimmed to the bone, yet retaining all of our traditional strength and integrity.
