The
instructional fly fishing trip is geared to fit the individual needs of the
beginning fly fisher, with the emphasis on learning how to fly fish.
The fundamental concepts of fly fishing, the functionality of the
equipment, and knowledge of the appropriate accessories are all
important issues to be discovered by the novice fly fisher.
Other topics to be discussed during the day's activities include fly
selection, knot tying, casting, reading water conditions, wading
safety, entomology (insect identification), and fishing techniques.
Like guided trips, instructional trips include shore lunches,
round-trip transportation to and from the water, and a boat if needed.
Shore lunches are made fresh each day and consist of a sandwich, chips,
desert and a cold, soft drink. Special needs such as vegetarian or low
fat diets can be accommodated on short notice.
We also have a large inventory of
fly fishing equipment and
on-the-river clothing in our online fly shop to prepare for your guided trip.
