River Levels

The water levels on the Little Red River change daily due to the 2 turbine generators on the Greers Ferry dam that the Corps of Engineers operates to made hydroelectric power. The water levels can rise and fall very quickly because of the length of the river.

Hatches

Great midge hatches. 

Fly Patterns

Flies:  Eggs, Y2k, San Juan Worms Elk hair Caddis, BWO's, cracklebacks, tiny Para Adams, Griffiths Gnat, Zebra midges, Miracle Nymph, glass bead midge nymphs(brown, gray), marabou midge emergers, WD 40's, WD 50's, Sculpins, woolly buggers, PT's, and scuds.

The Little Red is currently 6 inches over power pool level. Fishing is at its best right now.  Best so far this year!
